This is a temporary opportunity to join our Production team as a Process Technician at our Haverhill manufacturing site to play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards.
The Process Technician is an essential role for the operation, monitoring, and control of a pharmaceutical production line, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations as well as quality, safety, and hygiene guidelines.
Your Responsibilities
You will:
- Perform standard and complex tasks in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and established product processes
- Be trained across multiple areas and demonstrate adaptability in performing diverse responsibilities
- Utilise existing procedures to resolve both standard and non-standard issues, thoroughly investigates process deviations and appropriately escalates or resolves identified concerns
- Report process deviations to line management and maintain accurate batch documentation
- Conduct stock transactions with business systems and ensure spreadsheet databases are properly maintained
- Recommend enhancements to SOPs, initiate and follow through on change and support the implementation of approved modifications.
- Possess a strong understanding of regulatory, legal, and Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) requirements relevant to their function and how these impact assigned tasks.
- Operate all necessary machinery within their designated area effectively and safely.
- Acquire specific technical skills relevant to your function and responsibilities.
- Respond to both standard and occasionally non-standard requests from team members and external departments, forming strong working relationships within the production function and support teams.
- Work independently within well-defined procedures while receiving supervision where necessary; communicates relevant issues to senior team members as required.
- Contribute to the achievement of team targets by executing both routine and complex technical tasks, adhering to established processes, and undertaking key assignments requiring advanced competence.
- Clean and maintain manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Our Requirements
- GCSE level qualifications
- GMP or production experience are highly desirable.
- Strong standard of written English and basic numeracy for the purpose of report writing and documentation.
- Excellent teamworking, observational and communication skills.
- Proactive approach to ongoing learning, training and self-assessment.

The EUROAPI Haverhill (UK) site has been established for 40 years and is located 15 miles east of Cambridge and 60 miles north of London, in a key science and innovation region. It employs over 250 people and has built a strong reputation in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Spray Drying and Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO). Haverhill is proud to house the world’s largest, continuous production, pharmaceutical spray dryer and performs secondary packaging and release activities for oncology and rare disease medicines supporting global markets. The site is also developing a contract testing and release facility within its laboratories.
